If you've lived in Pakistan — really lived here — you know this isn't dramatic. It's Tuesday.
Temperatures that push 40°C from April to September. A fasting culture that demands your body perform on limited intake. Long commutes in heat without shade. Physical jobs that drain your body before lunch. Dehydration here isn't occasional. It's structural.
I'm Usama — founder of Hydrict, fitness enthusiast, PPC professional, and someone who spent years building a business while running on empty. I knew the problem intimately, because I was living it every day.
I Looked Everywhere. Nothing Was Built for Us.
I started searching for electrolyte products the way most people do — hoping something on a shelf or a website would solve the problem.
What I found was disappointing. Imported sports drinks loaded with 25–30g of sugar per serving. Overpriced sachets targeted at foreign athletes with foreign body requirements. Products that tasted clinical, or sweet enough to make you feel worse after drinking them. None of it accounted for who we are, where we live, or how we actually sweat.
I remember sitting down one evening after a particularly brutal workout and thinking: someone needs to build this properly. For us. Not a repackaged import. Not a sugar-heavy energy drink with electrolytes as an afterthought.
A clean, science-backed, affordable electrolyte formula — designed specifically for the Pakistani climate, the Pakistani body, and the Pakistani lifestyle. If that product didn't exist, I would have to build it myself.

Building Hydrict wasn't quick. And it wasn't easy.
I spent months studying electrolyte science — reading research papers on sodium absorption, sweat composition, and athletic performance. I consulted with fitness trainers, doctors, and nutritionists across Pakistan. I surveyed athletes, students, labourers, and fasting individuals to understand exactly what they needed.
Then came the formulation. Multiple iterations. Tastings that didn't work. Ratios that needed adjusting. A GMP-certified manufacturing partner that would hold to international quality standards.
The result: 800mg Sodium, 200mg Potassium, 60mg Magnesium, 5.5mg Zinc — every ingredient at a purposeful dose, backed by research, and built around how Pakistanis actually lose electrolytes. Zero sugar. Zero artificial colour. Zero compromise.
